Tip for Transitioning from Bottled Shampoo to Shampoo Bars

Expect a Transitional Period- While transitioning to a shampoo bar, your hair may look or feel a little different than before switching to a natural shampoo bar. Your hair is in the process of adjusting to the natural ingredients and this should be temporary. However, if this transitionary period last more than a couple weeks and your hair feels dirty or waxy, your hair may have mineral build up from hard water. You can speed up the transition process by using 1/2 to 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 8 ounces of water. If your hair is dry, use less apple cider vinegar, if your hair is oily, use more vinegar. After you shampoo and rinse, pour the vinegar and water mixture over your hair and scalp. Let it sit for a few minutes and then rinse it out. Do this as many times until your hair fully transitions to using the shampoo bar.
These are products that are free from harmful chemicals. This includes ingredients like parabens, phthalates, sulfates, and synthetic fragrances. Citrus Splash is a synthetic fragrance however, Lavender, Lemongrass are an essential oil.
Brush your dry hair from the scalp to the ends of the hair to help distribute your natural oils. Then once you are in the shower, rub the shampoo bar on your hands and between your fingers until you build up a nice lather. Start with scalp, gentling massaging the lather through the hair to the ends. Rinse.
